Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 chefs knife
  • 1 grater
  • 1 chopping board

Ingredients

  • 1 medium/large baking sweet potato
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½-1 Tbsp cajun spice
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Precook the Sweet Potato For Extra Crispiness
  • Place sweet potato cubes into a pan of salted boiling water and gently simmer for around 7 minutes until fork tender
  • Drain and let them cool completely to dry out the surface.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer
  • Set your air fryer to 190°C and let it preheat for 3–5 minutes (if your model requires it).
  • Season the Sweet Potatoes
  • In a bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, cajun spice, salt and pepper and toss well until evenly coated
  • Air Fry
  • Spread the cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 190°C for 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • For extra crisp edges, air fry for an additional 2–3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning. My air fryer has a crisp function which you can use here if you air fryer has a similar function.
  • Serve
  • Enjoy hot with your favourite dipping sauce, or sprinkle with fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.
